Thule 667ES Excursion ES Rooftop Cargo Box review:
A great choice for a multipurpose cargo box, the rooftop mounted Thule 667ES Excursion ES can carry just about anything. It has a 17 cubic foot capacity, and it will include a Thule One Key System box lock that removes the annoyance of many keys. The EasySnap hardware mounts straight to most aftermarket and factory installed roof racks in seconds, and a rear opening.

Manufacturer’s Warranty
It is supported by Thule’s restricted lifetime warranty. The warranty is terminated if the buyer transfers the product to another person. The warranty doesn’t cover normal wear and tear, cosmetic rust, scratches, or accidents.
About Thule
To say that Thule’s beginnings in the U.S. Were humble could be an understatement. Founding member Ake Skeppner sold merchandise at windsurf competitions on the New England shoreline, exhibited the product line at some different trade shows, and canvassed local merchants in the greater New York area, all from his “office” a now famous station wagon. Initial success was found in the small but growing sport of windsurfing where a strong, dependable roof rack was an indispensable part of equipment. This was quickly followed by success in the ski business where Thule’s Swedish inheritance surely helped the product get fast acceptance.
By the mid 1980s, the company sold merchandise straight to ski and windsurfing shops but sold through distributors to deal with the big and growing bike business. A high risk choice was made to end these distributor relationships and sell direct to merchants through a network of independent sales representatives. Most of the company’s market success today may be traced to that choice. Shortly after, Ake hired an engineer and set up a small assembly plant in Elmsford, New York to design and make bike carriers that could offer the features demanded by the U.S. Buyer and compete effectively with other racks on the market.
The company has since grown quickly through product novelty, a commitment to quality, and the continuance of a strong entrepreneurial spirit also as continuing to evolve their merchandise to meet the needs of users.
